Striano

We visited Italian friends of Chris in Striano (Campania) and had a great afternoon learning how to cook one of our favourite recipes: Linguine ai Frutti di Mare (seafood pasta).

As a starter we cooked some delicious mussels, in Italian cozze :-)

It was the first time for Chris to cook cozze, and he was excited to learn from Raffaele how to clean and cook them.

To cook the Linguine ai Frutti di Mare we first baked some Pomodori di Pachino (tomatoes of Pachino, Sicily) in olive oil with garlic, dried chili and dried tomatoes.

When the tomatoes were soft we added the fresh seafood: clams, octopus and prawns :-)
